This 1950’s Allis-Chalmers dozer is in working condition. Not like new condition but it just seems to want to work. The engine started without any starting fluid on a morning when the overnight temperatures were in the 40’s. Not all detroit diesel 71 series engines will start that easily. The blade is strong and hydraulics work great. The head gasket set will be in on Monday. The track grousers are worn down nubs but it still climbs the hill easily even while pushing a good amount of gravel and chert. The box blade on the new holland tractor makes a nice finish. We are removing some of the humps and washboarding on the hill. Very impressed with the dozer so far.
