The BEST Access Road crossing Cebu's Forest Reserve (𝘼𝙡𝙘𝙤𝙮 𝙩𝙤 𝘼𝙡𝙚𝙜𝙧𝙞𝙖)

This is a mountain motorcycling journey accross Cebu's Wildlife Habitat Forest in Nug-as Alcoy. Starting from Poblacion Alcoy and ending in Poblacion Alegria. This will not be the usual road we take in the lowlands but this is via the Alcoy-Alegria mountain access road.

Years ago, I had the chance to traverse the mountains from Alcoy to Alegria by "habal-habal" or motorcycle taxis. It was very narrow and slippery because almost half of the stretch was a dirt muddy road. We nearly crashed a few times because the mud was so slippery and the tires skidded. That was 2014.

Nine years have passed, seeing a few videos of random motovloggers transcentrally crossing from Alcoy to Alegria, I wanted to check for myself if the road now is fully concreted, widened and far better than what it was the first time I crossed. So I decided to motorcycle it by myself this time and the journey begins.

Beginning of course in Alcoy's poblacion. Then, I have to ascend my way to Nug-as passing the forest reserve considered as a stronghold habitat of threatened wild life of Cebu. I will also be making a short stop over in Nug-as Market considered also as vegetable basket of Cebu second to neighbor Mantalongon Dalaguete.

From Nug-as, I will then be crossing into barangay Lepanto of Alegria. Visiting a local mountain farm or what we call "ba-ul" in bisaya. Showing you a typical farm in Alcoy-Alegria mountains. From there, I will drive towards Montpeller Alegria where you will pass a few scenic landscapes like that of New Zealand's. There are also 2 or 3 waterfalls along this route. I visited the one very near the road- Kalaha Falls. After, I drove further and finally reaching the national highway in Alegria. My next stop will be at the town's church (San Francisco Javier Church) to meet its parish priest Fr. Joselito Gutierrez who also is a motorcyclist.

Then that was it. My full journey from Alcoy to Alegria via a rainforest mountain road. But wait, from Alegria I still drove further to Dumanjug to visit Du-Bay Beach Resort and Restobar.
