Hello all, welcome to another series of public digs that I attended in the Fall of 2024 in Magnet Cove, Arkansas. This dig event was hosted over several weekends as Avant Mining (http://avantfishermtn.com) was allowing The Crystal Collector (   / @thecrystalcollector  ) to host them while they had a 1 year lease on the property. The cost was $300 per 5 gallon buckets of material and $80 per 1 gallon bucket. I probably spent around $520 total over 4 different days.

The main minerals to be found was Smoky Quartz and Brookite, which is sometimes referred locally as Arkansite. There were other minerals reported rarely, some pyrite and some rutile needle inclusions were found. My large specimen in this video possibly had a cube of another mineral. In general Magnet Cove, Arkansas is known worldwide for its large variety of small mineral specimens which vary from spot to spot.
