Rothaus Distillery Visit | Meet the Rothaus Distillery

The Baden state brewery Rothaus, located in the Upper Black Forest and known for its Tannenzäpfle beer, produces the Rothaus Black Forest Single Malt in co-operation with the Kammer-Kirsch distillery.

The Rothaus Black Forest Single Malt, now in its 13th edition (2022) and bottled at 43% vol. is part of the Rothaus brewery's standard range. The brewery endeavours to keep the editions similar, but also to incorporate something unique into each bottling. For the current Rothaus Black Forest, for example, a small proportion of red wine barrels were used in addition to Bourbon barrels.
