Marie Kondo Organizes Toys | Apartment Therapy

Marie Kondo is known for her ability to take even the trickiest of messes and transform them into folded, controlled spaces that, in her words, "spark joy."

When the bestselling author of the "Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up" came into our studios recently to demo how her new organizational boxes work, we challenged her to tackle the toy area.

We've seen so many that look like the "before" in the video above: scattered, disorganized, and Legos everywhere. And even if you can manage to corral this area into some sense of control for a bit, it's hard to find a system that works (and that kids understand) long term. So we asked Kondo to work her magic.
