A bit MORE power would be better for on the river. (I am going to see if I can upgrade to the 6 hp. carburetor). I can go about 11 kmh upriver, with one passenger. I like how quiet this motor is. So far I am only using the internal tank, It will run for 45 minutes at full throttle. for lake use, this setup is fine as it is. it should last as long as I do. It is a 2020 CLIPPER kevlar Mac sport 18 foot square stern CANOE with a 2020 merc 4 hp.
