Third JHAAN Youth Convention 2022 ( Jharkhand And Andaman consisting of Ranchi Archdiocese, Gumla Diocese, Simdega Diocese, Khunti Diocese, Daltonganj Diocese, Hazaribagh Diocese, Jameshedpur Diocese, Dumka Diocese and Port-Blair Diocese) held at St. Joseph’s School, Mahuadanr, District – Latehar in Jharkhand. It belongs to the Diocese of Daltonganj whose apostolic administrator is Rev. Bishop Theodore Mascarenhas, who is also the apostolic administrator of the Archdiocese of Ranchi. This program is a great event in which around 5500 youths from 8 Dioceses of Jharkhand participated.
St. Joseph Parish belongs to Chhechhari Deanery. There are nine parishes in this deanery. This whole big area is evangelized by Fr. Constant Lievence SJ who said, “ Let the fire burn.” So, the theme of the JHAAN Youth Meet/Convention was “Let the fire burn”. All the resource persons in this meet were to give the message on Christian faith. The most significant point of this event was that all the JHAAN Bishops were with Youth on 4th Oct. 2022 and gave their message to the youth and on 5th Oct. His Excellency The Most Rev. Leopoldo Girelli, Nuncio to India and Nepal was with the youth for the Eucharistic celebration and thereafter he gave his message to the JHAAN youth and thereafter JHAAN Youth Meet was concluded. In the JHAAN Youth 200 fathers and sisters and 200 volunteers were present. We thank all the Bishops, Fathers and Sisters and all the youth and benefactors for their cooperation and support to make this event a successful. May God bless each one of you.
