Hummer vs Jeep - Nitto Challenge - Trail Grapplers vs KOH Spec

The American 4x4s are at it again at one of our favourite tracks close to Sydney Australia. These two iconic American trucks battle it out at Wheeny Creek aka Gees Arms South Trail. These two beasts of the 4x4 world go head to head choosing the most difficult lines and in some cases opening up new lines.

This time the fight is more comparable than last time. The JKU 4 door has a wheelbase much closer to that of the Hummer H1. In the last battle we had a JK Wrangler shorty take on the Hummer and the wheelbase difference was really apparent on some sections. Both the Hummer H1 and Jeep Wrangler JKU are both running Nitto tyres. The Hummer is sporting 40 inch Nitto Trail Grappler tires while the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited is running 40 inch Nitto Trail Grapplers KOH. The King of Hammers spec are almost identical to the regular Nitto Trail Grapplers except for the compound being much softer and stickier.

The Hummer H1 is pretty much a standard 1996 model with some Alpha bits and pieces. the 40 inch tyres fit with no lift. Its still running the standard Torsen Diffs. It has a custom made front swing down bar with a Warn high mount winch.

The Jeep Wrangler JKU 4 door is extremely modified with all the best goodies including; Dynatrac Pro Rock 60 with 35 Spline ARB airlockers and Chromoly axles front and rear. Hydro assist steering with ported and strengthened Delphi RHD box. King Shocks EVO Spec 2.0 12 inch travel Coilovers, and Hydraulic Bump stops on all four corners with Teraflex Long Arm Suspension.
