Stavan Lyrics & English Translation :

जीव जीवन प्रभु म्हारा, अबोलडां शानां लीधां छे राज;

Why do you not speak with me, o Lord?
Prabhu, you are the life of my life!
In the past, when we were in nigoda (a realm existing in which the lowest forms of invisible life reside in endless numbers), you would share the same body as me, and I as you!

काल अनंत स्नेही प्यारा, कदीय न अंतर करता;

You, my beloved Lord, have shared an affectionate bond with me from time immemorial. You never were away from me; we were always together.
We spent innumerable years together even as various forms of bādara, one-sensed living beings

We spent myriad years as two-sensed, three-sensed and four-sensed beings — no matter how hard I try to forget them, I cannot.
Even in hell, we were both together, enduring immense suffering…

परमाधामी सनमुख आपण टग-टग नजरे जोता;

We would shiver with fright as we looked at the Paramādhāmi Devas (The ones that give different types of pains/sufferings in hell) … do you remember?
When our good deeds came to fruition and we were incarnated as devas (celestials), we would spend our time in the same celestial vimāna and indulge in the joys of devaloka (heaven)!

एकण पासे देवशय्यामां थेई-थेई नाटक सुणतां;

We would lie next to each other in our godly beds and entertain ourselves all day long by watching dances and plays.
But — whenever any Tirthankar Bhagwant took birth, you and I would both rush to celebrate Parmatma’s Janma Mahotsav!

तिर्यंच गतिमां सुख-दुःख अनुभवता, तिहां पण संगे चलंता;

The tides kept turning…
We were born in the tiryancha gati (animal body form). There too, we would experience joy and sorrow together.
There was a time, when we would also go to Parmatma’s Samavasaran (divine pavilion) together to listen to His Deshna (discourse), as divine as amrit (nectar)!

एक दिन तमे अने अमे बेउ साथे, वेलडीए वळगीने फरता;

There was a time when we would cling on to climbers and swing around…
There was a time when we would play with the bat and ball everyday!
We share such fond memories of our childhood…

तमे अने अमे बेउ सिद्ध स्वरूपी, एवी कथा नित्य करता;

Everyday, we would discuss among ourselves, ‘You and I are the same as Siddha Parmatmas in terms of our innate nature’.
Prabhu, do you remember? There was a time when we were also born in the same lineage and clan! We even ate from the same plate!

एक दिन हुं ठाकोर तमे चाकर, सेवा माहरी करता;

One day, I was the master and you a servant engaged in my service.
And today… Oh! You have become the Master of the World! You have become the beloved of Siddhi! (The poet personifies attainment of Moksha, i.e. Mukti/Siddhi as a woman.)

काल अनंतनो स्नेही विसारी, काम कीधां मनगमता;

Having risen to the topmost position in this universe, you forgot me, you failed me. You forgot the relationship we shared from time beginningless, and selfishly pursued your goals.
Why have you become so distant from me now? All this while we were together, and now you have left me for good and occupied a position 7 Rājlokas away!

दीपविजय कविराज प्रभुजी, जगतारण जगनेता;

Kaviraj Deepvijayji says, Prabhuji, you alone uplift this world! you alone lead this world!
Grant this servant of yours, the seat of eternal glory!
Truly, you are adorned with infinite virtues!
And yet, why do you give me the silent treatment, o Lord? Do you not know, you are the life of my life…

(Micchami Dukkadam if anything contrary to the intention of Kavi Bahadur Shri Deepvijayji Maharaja, is written)
