Sensing a need for guidance and direction with a little nourishment along the way, Urban Solutions of San Francisco set up "sign post" along the Fillmore Street corridor to assist enterprising women of color in bringing to life their entrepreneurial skills. What a fantastic development. These women have cultivated a solid set of business relationships while uncovering their natural instincts for creating business. The members have found their networking skills revealed talents that have lead to the achievement of personal and business building goals. Urban Solutions' Helen Branham recognized as she sat in a unique position to listen and watch one woman after another walk into
her Fillmore Street office day after day and talk about the desire to turn their ideas into something that made sense, made a contribution to the community, and, made a value-added opportunity for personal growth in their own lives. With a little help from her colleagues at Urban Solutions, Janice Lee, Janelle Block, executive director Jenny McNulty and company, Helen's vision was successfully launched and has begun to pay the dividends everyone hoped for.
