Kitchell utilizes pre-fabrication at Chandler Regional Medical Center

How does a project team improve quality, safety and schedule on a Kitchell job? One word: Innovation.

It took careful design, 3-D modeling, and 39 days of pre-fabrication offsite, but the design/build team of Kitchell/Orcutt-Winslow recently competed pre-fabrication of 84 patient restrooms for the Chandler Regional Medical Center Tower C Project. Pre-fabrication of the 3rd and 4th floor restrooms were completed before the concrete slabs were even placed (5th floor restrooms completed 8 days after the slab was poured). The new bathrooms are complete with showers, plumbing, electrical, hvac and interior drywall already installed. The project team is currently completing pre-fabrication efforts on headwalls and combined MPE rack systems.
