It was a long time ago. In a village called Akbarpur in Uttar Pradesh, a divine child was born. His real name was Lakshmi Narayan Rarma. From childhood, he was less interested in worldly things and more immersed in devotion to God. He would often conduct sermons in the forests and recite the Bhagavad Gita.

Over time, people began to realize that this man was no ordinary man. He possessed a supernatural brilliance and power. Even after marriage, his heart remained unmoved by worldly life. He left home, became a monk, and headed for the Himalayas.

How did Baba get his name "Neem Karauli"?

One day, he was traveling by train to a village in northern India. The train driver made him get off the train because he didn't have a ticket. Bana sat quietly under a tree. Suddenly, the train stopped on its own and wouldn't move forward despite any effort. The train driver and guard were perplexed. The villagers said, "This is a saint. Please get him back on board." As soon as Baba was put back on the train, it started moving.

From then on people started calling him "Neem Karauli Baba" because the village was a place called "Neem Karauli".

His devotion and miracles

Neem Karoli Baba was a devoted devotee of Lord Hanuman. He built nearly 100 Hanuman temples across India. Baba is said to have a deep understanding of the mind, and many people were cured of incurable illnesses, problems, and troubles through his narrations.

People even called him living Hanuman.

Impact on foreigners too

His fame wasn't confined to India. In the 1970s, renowned American professor Richard Espert (later known as "Ramdas") met Baja and his life was transformed.
