Another question of the ages is that George Romero, who essentially created the zombie genre (there were zombie movies before his 'Dead' films though no other director has done so much to bring them into the mainstream) not chosen to direct a feature based on the Resident Evil video game franchise.

A video game series that might owe its existence Romero's movies.
