I first visited Vobster Quay on 26th Oct 2020; I wanted to mark the 11th anniversary of the day my life changed forever. I chose to swim at Vobster because I had heard it was a fantastic place to swim; I wasn't disappointed. For those of you who don't know, I lost both my legs in 2009. I was fortunate to survive that day; now, I like to mark it in some way. Swimming has always been a significant part of my life; after my injury, I needed swimming even more. In 2011, swimming became a crucial part of my recovery; it allowed me to feel some sort of normality, get fit and become part of an incredible community.

Vobster Quay is a welcoming place for open water swimmers, both beginner and those with more experience. It has a range of high-quality facilities that provide all you need to enjoy a fun and leisurely swimming experience. I would highly recommend Vobster Quay if you are after a memorable day out.
