ARC 2022 Atlantic Rally for Cruisers, ATLANTIC OCEAN CROSSING Gran Canaria Spain to ST Lucia SAILING

​‪@couch910‬ I make travel videos. November 2022 I joined 8 strangers from the United Kingdom, Canada and Norway to take part in the Atlantic Rally for Cruisers. This is a saying rally from Las Palmas Gran Canaria, Spain to Saint Lucia in the Caribbean. We sailed over 3,000 nautical miles on a Hanse 505 and it took us 3 weeks. This video is our time in Spain, preparing the boat for the ocean crossing. We provisioned for food, cleaned and fixed the boat with many boat projects and explored the island. We hike, ate local foods and took part in ARC activities. The ARC usually has around 150 to 200 boats and well over 1,000 people. It was started in 1986 by Jimmy Cornell.
