STORYLINE:
A Russian woman has described crawling out of a Moscow concert hall as gunmen opened fire on the crowd inside the venue killing at least 137 people.

The witness, who gave her name as Maria, said she could hear the sound of gunshots getting closer inside the Crocus City Hall before the attackers moved into the hall.

"This uncertainty, where to go, what to do, it scared me the most as every person there had no idea what was happening," she said.

Maria spoke to the Associated Press as she visited an emergency center set up to give survivors professional help in the aftermath of the attack in Krasnogorsk in the capital's outskirts.

Russia was observing a day of mourning on Sunday still in shock after the deadliest attack on the country in years.

Russian authorities arrested four suspected attackers on Saturday, with seven more detained on suspicion of involvement in the attack, Russian President Vladimir Putin said in a nighttime address to the nation, on Saturday.

He claimed they were captured while fleeing to Ukraine, something that Kyiv firmly denies.
