In this video, I will explain how you can remove an element from an existing list in Python.

Here we have declared a list named as geneList1. For instance, in your data analysis, you want to remove an element from a list. This can be done by using the remove() function in Python.

To remove an element from an existing list first you will write the name of the list from which you want to remove the element which here is geneList1 then add a full stop then write remove() function and inside the brackets of the function, you will write the element which you want to remove which in this case is “A0990.2”.

To check if the element “A0990.2” has been removed from the geneList1, you will write the print command in order to print the geneList1 and press run. On execution, you will see that the desired element has been removed from the geneList1.
