"In early 2023, Joey Wideman and Chad Gallimore of Belle Chasse Records decided to give me a shot. A shot at my dreams of becoming a country music artist—all because they believed in my potential as a singer/songwriter. They signed me to the label, and I have since moved down from Michigan to NOLA to pursue a career in music.
After relocating to New Orleans, my partnership with Joey over the past year and a half has actually grown into an unbreakable friendship/mentorship. He's supported me through ups and downs. He believed in me-- even when I lost faith in myself.
And now it's my turn to repay that debt of kindness by asking for your support and prayers for him.

Joey was unexpectedly diagnosed with large B-cell Non-Hodgkins lymphoma two months ago; and began cancer treatments shortly thereafter. The treatments have been pretty rough; and as he begins his 3rd chemo treatment tomorrow morning, I wanted to give him something that could maybe provide comfort and support from others in his shoes. Others who have beat this terrible disease--and could provide personal heartfelt messages of support and encouragement as a cancer survivor themselves.

I casually reached out to my social media followers about the request; and was completely overwhelmed with responses from people of all ages. Cancer survivors offering inspirational messages of hope to Joey...along with their photos, as encouragement to keep fighting.
I have pieced together sort of a collage of these amazing individuals; and over the past week have written a song as an outlet to express my tremendous gratitude toward Joey. The name of the song is "Staying Strong". I'm planning to surprise him with it in the morning before he begins another 8-hour chemo session; but wanted to share this video link as a reminder that we are all in this together.

Thanks again to all of you for your tremendous support and response. You've got an army of supporters behind you, Joey. You've got this, man."
