"Doom Upstart Mapping Project Episode 3 : BFG Edition" is a 80-map ZDoom pk3 and third mapset in the "Doom Upstart Mapping Project" series, created in October 2016 by TerminusEst13 and other members of Doom community. The pk3 was created out of the desire for TerminusEst13 and several other mappers to improve their mapping skills, and unlike the first two, however, "Doom Upstart Mapping Project 3" was conceived as both a mapping project and a weapons mod, with both components being bundled together but remaining independent of each other.
