Park Tool DIY Shop Stand

I made my own shop stand using a wall mounted clamp and some steel. When my son moved out, he took his portable bike stand with him leaving me with no easy way to work on my bikes. I started pricing stands and realized for a little more money I could make my own shop stand. If you were to price out a Park Tool shop stand with the base, the pole, and a clamp, you would be in the neighborhood of $1,000 depending on your options of course. I realize that this isn't an apples to apples comparison since for $1,000 you would have a brand new clamp, but that wasn't the goal. The goal was to get a "shop" stand for as cheap as possible.

Used PRS-4W from E-Bay: $220
Steel plate and pole : $150
Paint : $57
Beer (for payment for someone to weld the pipe to the plate) : $50
Misc Hardware : $25
Ikea Rug (Cykelbana) : $10
