Learn how to change the oil in your pressure washer pump.

This is a cat pump that puts out 4 gallons per minute (gpm) at 4000 pounds per square inch (psi). When you first use this pump the oil needs to be changed in it after 50 hours of use. After that, the oil needs to be changed every 500 hours of use ONLY IF you are using the cat pump oil. If you are using a substitute the oil needs to be changed every 300 hours. If you use a substitute you still need to use an oil with the same specifications as the cat pump oil.

The specifications are:
ISO - 68, 30W, NON-Detergent, Hydraulic Pump Oil. Stick with these specifications on the cat pump. Please see your owners manual as your pump model may be different than mine.

First unscrew the oil drain nut at the bottom, as well as the oil fill nut at the top. Let the oil drain completely. Tilting may be necessary. Once completely drained, check seals and put the oil drain nut back on and secure it.

Next, take your oil and fill it to the required amount. See your owners manual. After filled, check your seals and secure the oil fill nut back on. Now your pump oil is changed. Thanks for watching.
