Описание к видео Foal intensive care in a practice situation - a daunting task?

Dr. Jessica Kidd BA DVM CertES(Orth) Dipl ECVS MRCVS presents a webinar on foal intensive care in practice - a vital part of equine reproductive medicine and something many vets are not keen on! The particular focus of this presentation is on diagnostics and treatments that can be done at home or in the clinic with no need to send the foal to a referral hospital as this is often not possible.

Dr. Kidd addresses septicaemia in detail offering hints and tips to spot it early as well as diagnostics, laboratory aids and treatment options plus predisposing factors, pathogenisis, clinical signs, affects on body systems (including joints, respiratory, umbilical structures, eyes etc.).

Squeeze-induced somnolence, septic arthritis, diarrhoea, meningitis, pneumonia, reducing chances of infection are also covered. Dr. Kidd also shares some dosing information for pain management in foals, sedation, anaesthesia and gives her opinion on further reading options for neonatal medicine.

Many thanks to Dr. Kidd for giving her time for this webinar. She asked us to share the link to the 'Vets with Horsepower' page to help support this very worthwhile cause. Please visit the website and consider making a donation.
