Описание к видео Master Leash Walking Basics with Chain Collar - Day 1 - Brooks

To begin dog training, always use a chain collar, which tightens and loosens with corrections and prevents the dog from slipping out. The goal is effective communication. Leash walking is the super basic starting point, and practicing it will help the dog trust the human. Start in a confined, predictable space like your backyard before moving to unpredictable environments outside.

The vocal tones for communication are distinct:
Corrections should be given in a very deep, growly voice to communicate disapproval ("Hey, I don't like what you're doing").

Praise should be given in a very happy and excited voice (e.g., "Hey, buddy, you was a good boy. Good job.").

Commands are given in a normal, neutral talking voice (e.g., "Brooks, stay").

Dogs communicate vocally and "subocally" (presumably non-vocally), and since humans can only communicate vocally, training is done purely vocally.

When giving a correction, it is a quick snap, a "super quick pop of the wrist and then you're done", not a long pull. Do not lift your arm any higher than your high hip, as raising it higher reduces power and will make your arm sore.

The handler must walk with their head up and shoulders back, keeping their arms relaxed and loose at their sides. The dog takes cues from the handler's body language; if you are tense or anxious, the dog will be as well, so the handler must be calm and confident.

Brooks is likely reactive because he doesn't know how to handle certain situations and doesn't trust humans to handle them for him, leading to insecurity and lashing out to create space. To build his confidence, the speaker introduced a slight amount of uneven ground for walking. Walking on slightly uneven ground creates a little instability in the dog's walk and how he feels. By learning to walk on this unstable ground with the handler, the dog learns that unfamiliar or "weird" situations are not something to be scared or worried about. Small, slightly uncomfortable challenges will be worked into the training so the dog learns "that there's not that much to be scared about".
