How to Play the Tubular Bells

In this video, we will discuss how to play the tubular bells in an orchestral setting. While the physical playing of the tubular bells is fairly simple, figuring out how to play the instrument in an ensemble setting can be very difficult because of restricted sightlines to both the conductor and your music. This video will provide suggestions to this prominent issue as well as explain the basic technique and functions surround the tubular bells.

(Note: This instrument is often referred to as "chimes" or "orchestral bells." Tubular bells is simply the most common language I see on music, so it is the term I decided to use in this video.)
