Baby Koalas with bottles

Baby Koalas that have lost their mothers need to be fed a special marsupial formula. The koalas in this video are old enough to eat eucalyptus leaves too, but still need the extra nutrient rich supplement for their fast growing little bodies. It's different from normal milk as koalas are lactose intolerant and if fed milk they will become very ill and even fatal. Bottle time is one of the great joys of being a koala carer. Most koalas soon learn to love the bottle and many have funny and adorable habits. Look for the tongues and flicking ears in this compilation we put together of babies at bottle time.
