Hello, this is Nick Hauenstein, and welcome to your Azure Daily Minute for Tuesday, March 12th, 2024.

Last week, App Service Backup and Restore over Azure Virtual Network entered general availability. Now, customers can now use custom backups, to back up their web app's files and configuration data to a firewall-protected storage account. Once the configuration is saved, any manual, scheduled backup, or restore is made through the virtual network. If you make changes to the app, the virtual network, or the storage account that prevent the app from accessing the storage account through the virtual network, the backup or restore operations fail.

Yesterday, the Azure API Center team announced a new API governance feature. API governance is pivotal in upholding consistency, security, and quality throughout an organization’s API landscape. With this update, you can now enable API linting and analysis within your Azure API Center. Azure API Center helps you develop and maintain a structured inventory of your organization's APIs. API Center enables API discovery, reuse, and governance at scale. API Center is in preview.
