Low sperm count in males, what do we mean by it? When the count of the sperms is lower than 15 million, generally it is called as low sperm count. What can be the reason for the same? One, it can be primary or congenital undescended testis due to any other primary reason that has come along the birth, that can be genetic also, but majority of the reasons that can be seen in our OPD is it can be secondary. Secondary low sperm count can be due to any other reason like their lifestyle their work, occupational hazards, lot of other things. For example as simple as many people wouldn’t have thought about is a zone wherein the temperature is very high and wearing denims can cause a low sperm count can cause the sperms to due because of the heat to the testicles. Yes, that can be one of the reason, smoking, diabetes, especially uncontrolled can result in all these things.
