TDS DETAILS:
TDS stands for tax deducted at source. As per the Income Tax Act, any company or person making a payment is required to deduct tax at the source if the payment exceeds certain threshold limits. TDS has to be deducted at the rates prescribed by the tax department.

Who is elighible for tds:
Any person making specified payments mentioned under the Income Tax Act are required to deduct TDS at the time of making such specified payment. But no TDS has to deducted if the person making the payment is an individual or HUF whose books are not required to be audited

TDS Full Form is Tax Deducted at Source. TDS is one of the tax collecting method used in India. It is governed under the Indian Income Tax Act 1961 and managed by Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT)
TDS is deducted on various types of payments. It is deducted on salaries, interest payments by banks, commission payments, rent payments, consultation fees, and professional fees. TDS is not required to be paid on rent payments or on fees paid to professionals like doctors, lawyers
