Upon arriving in the town of Chorley, I was greeted with this sign plastered across the bus station in big, think, black letters:

"𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗲 - 𝗔 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀".🤲🤝

I knew then that I had come to the right place and it was a great start to my exploration of this small, northern market town. And in all honesty, that's exactly how my two days spent there felt. A place that made me feel so welcome and I'm truly grateful to all the people I met there.🙏🏼💫💝

During the 1970s, Chorley had an array of factory chimneys which pretty much dominated the skyline. Parts of Morrisons' chimney and mill buildings can still be seen today as well as some streets of terraced houses where the workers would have resided.

As I walked through the town of today, I couldn't help but notice the amount of churches that dot this small town. My favourite one is: St Laurence's Church which dates back to after first being recorded in 1362. The tower which instantly, caught my attention when I first saw it, dates from the 15th century.⛪️

All in all, I had an amazing time in Chorley and take home with me many beautiful memories. Thank you Chorley and thank you to everyone whom I met there.💫
