The Tomb of Hafez (or commonly known as Hafezieh) is a famous landmark in Shiraz, Iran (in memory of the celebrated Persian poet Hafez) and every tourist that comes to Shiraz, will check this place out, it especially shines at nights. If you want to travel to Shiraz, make sure to visit Hafezieh. You won’t regret it.

Shiraz is know as the city of poets because it is the home of two great poets, i.e., Hafez and Saadi.
Our today's city tour is in Hafezieh (tomb of Hafez Shirazi). Hafez Shirazi (considered as the Shakespeare of Iran) was one of the greatest and most admired poets of the 14th century. He was known as Hafez (which means memorizer) because he memorized the Quran at an early age.
The mausoleum is on the North of Shiraz and South of Quran Gate. It has two courtyards, the northern and southern which are separated by a Hall. The Northwestern part has a cozy teahouse and cafe and in the west side, there is a small graveyard related to Zand era, Qavam family and famous Shirazi residents.
