The Massed Bands of HM Royal Marines Beating Retreat Rehearsal 2024

The Massed Bands of HM Royal Marines march down Birdcage Walk to Horse Guards Parade on Wednesday 10th July to rehearse their 2024 Beating Retreat.

The massed bands are led by Corps Drum Major WO1 Chris Mace MVO who has designed this year's parade alongside Principal Director of Music Royal Marines LtCol Huw Williams. This year's Beating Retreat will be held on Horse Guards Parade, London on Thursday 11th and Friday 12 July 2024.

For the eagle eyed viewer, you may notice some gaps in the massed bands. This was due to transport issues out of the Royal Marines control resulting in members of RM Band Scotland missing the march down, they joined the rehearsals at Horse Guards Parade.
