How to upload videos onto your site using Vimeo and YouTube

How to upload your video to a host server such as Vimeo or YouTube, and embed the link to the video into your website.

Having the video hosted on an external site means faster loading speeds, so you don’t have to worry about viewers having to wait for a video to load.

On Vimeo:
Create or login to your Vimeo account and click on the 'New Video' icon on the top right hand side of the window
Press ‘select files to upload’ and select your chosen file, or drag and drop it into the window.
While the video is uploading, adjust the optional settings and set privacy restrictions
To embed the video on your site, copy the embed code by clicking the 'embed' button in the video manager.
Then paste the code into your website’s code, on the page you want to place the video

On YouTube:
Create a login for YouTube and click the video icon on the top right
Click 'upload video,' then select the file you wish to upload.
Once it’s uploaded, click the 'share' button, then select 'embed.'
Copy the embed code and paste it into your website or site builder.
