Louisa Mayer of the New England Eye Institute at Perkins talks about the development of tests of visual acuity in babies through the means of Preferential Looking.Dr. Mayer takes the viewer through the advances in the study of how babies see, from FPL (Forced Choice Preferential Looking) using stripes of different widths for very young babies, to OPL (Operant Preferential Looking) to hold the interest of older babies and children.
