1989 Karting Supernationals Britain Formula A at Clay Pigeon track

After 5 attemts to start the race clerk of the cource Charlie Box stops it after 3 laps because of aggressive driving. He said to the pilots:
- I will not tolerate dirt car racing here. This is kart racing - it is nothing to do with dirt racing. If you want to do that forget kart racing and go and do it. Don't come here anymore.
Then he was interviewed:
- I expect proper racing, clean racing. I do not expect people just to go bowling each other off in that manner. I know I will not have it.
- Who was causing the problems here?
- I think 50 % of the drivers. I don't know why they do it. They just think they are something special. If they want to stop kart racing let them go and do it. But I will not tolerate that top of behaviour especially on a day like this...
