The Trailblazer Citation is awarded annually to an innovator who has affected change in the North Texas region, focusing on social welfare, health, economic empowerment, education, or has otherwise enriched the quality of life in North Texas.

The Stewpot's mission is to offer a safe haven for homeless and at-risk individuals of Dallas, providing resources for basic survival needs as well as opportunities to start a new life. The Stewpot assists over 13,000 clients annually, focusing on extremely-low to low-income individuals and families experiencing or at-risk for homelessness, based on HUD guidelines.
