Fake Covid 19 Vaccine Cards

Warning. Do not buy or use fake vaccine cards. If you do so, you do it at your own risk. The FBI has made it clear that buying or using a fake vaccine card is illegal and stiff criminal liability. Under 18 USC 1017, it is a federal crime punishable up to five years in jail to falsely use an official government seal or stamp. The vaccine card uses the CDC seal. This would be like using a fake passport.

Second, if you do it through the internet or over the phone, you are conducting business across state lines and, as such, would be liable for possible wire fraud. 18 USC 1343 says if you use the internet or the phone with the intent to defraud or make money falsely, you may face imprisonment for up to 20 years. Finally, you could also be charged under Federal RICO or racketeering charges if you sell fake vaccine cards.

Just in case you think that it may not happen to you, Todd Anderson, a California man, was charged in May for allegedly falsifying vaccine cards for $20, and two Canadian citizens were fined $16,000 for using fake vaccine cards.

So, if you think you want a vaccine card, there is another more straightforward way to get the vaccine card, by just getting vaccinated at low or no cost.
