Digital Automation of Model Trains - Märklin H0

Описание к видео Digital Automation of Model Trains - Märklin H0

Digital automation of model trains, as shown in the video, is based on precise calculations and data to enable realistic and efficient train control. 100 km/h in nature is 31.9 cm/s on an H0 scale layout.

The maximum speed of each train is limited by several factors, including the maximum speed of the locomotive, the permitted speed on the section of track and the distance to the nearest red signal.

Virtual signals on station tracks and other locations control train traffic. Physical placement of signals is not necessary as they work virtually. Red signals stop the train at a set distance, and the tolerance is +- 10cm.

Each train follows a simple timetable with details of the destination track and possible stop times. The trains start when the track to the next destination track is clear and the automation ensures that they act according to the timetable.
