ICELAND Volcano - Huge and remarkable explosions - 4K / UHD

During the night of July 1 to 2, 2021, as the weather was particularly unfavorable, the volcano seemed to explode at regular intervals, emptying the contents of its crater in a matter of seconds, hurling it between 100 and over 200 m into the air.

Each time, for a few tens of seconds, the entire volcanic edifice lights up,
covered in a glowing mantle of incandescent lava, a magical, exceptional and extraordinary scene, of which we were privileged to be one of the few witnesses.
Around 10 minutes later, the magnificent spectacle began again, even more impressive...
Such paroxysmal eruptions are, however, an exception to the usual pattern of effusive of effusive volcanoes.

Over the next 3 months, things changed little. The volcano's activity, always fascinating, gradually slowed down, sometimes stopping for a few hours, sometimes even a few days.
In mid-September, the flows ceased altogether.
