Recutting a Sail's Leech and Foot Edge

The genoa sail in this video is rather old and was at one point converted from a hanked on system to roller furling. The sail belonged to an Islander 37 sailboat that Jim Grant, founder of Sailrite, just acquired. However, after sailing with the sail a few times we found that the leech had stretched out and no longer provided the needed support, thus it fluttered terribly. We also found the foot had too much round and interfered with the roller furling drum. We will show you how to properly re-cut those edges for much improved sail performance yet again and giving us a few more years of life.
