Special Delivery! Nana's Cottage has Arrived!

This has been a LONG time in the making!

Almost 12 years ago Nana came to live with us at our home in Washington State. The original plan was to find her a place of her own. When we couldn't really find anything that she liked that was priced right we started looking at building on our land. Nothing huge, just a nice cottage behind our place. Unfortunately, Washington State is not a friendly place to build, so we adapted our house to make her as comfortable as possible.

A few years before we came to Arkansas, Nana decided to move back there to take care of her father (now 95!) for his remaining years. The plan was always to have her come back to live with us in Washington when the time came, and we were actually in the process of renovating our house there to make it an even more comfortable living situation for us all. But as you all know, God had different plans for us!

One of the driving factors in finding a property for us was knowing that we would be bringing Nana to live with us again when the time came. So, that meant either having a house big enough for us all, or enough land to put a house on for Nana to live in. Well, after much talk and planning, here we are! Nana's little cottage on the Homestead is finally happening!
