INGREDIENTS : Bisi Bele Bath powder 3 tbsp, tamarind water 3 tbsp, jaggery 1.5tsp, salt to taste, rice1/2 cup, toor dal 1/2 cup, turmeric 1/4tsp, ghee 1 tsp, carrots diced 1/2 cup, peas shelled 1/2 cup, french beans chopped 1/2 cup, potato 1 diced , tomato 1 diced, mustard 1tsp, dry red chilli 2, hing 1/8 tsp , curry leaves 1 sprig, , cashew 1 tbsp

BISI BELE BATH POWDER INGREDIENTS : chana dal 1 tsp, urad dal 1 tsp, dry red chillies - to taste, coriander seeds 1.5 tbsp, fenugreek seeds 2 pinches, cumin seeds1 tsp, cinnamon 2 inch, clove 3, cardamom 3, poppy 1 tbsp, / hing 1/8 tsp, turmeric 1/4 tsp

Let us make the Bisi Bele Bath powder
Chana Dal, Urad Dal, chilli coriander
Fenugreek, cumin, cinnamon, clove,
Cardamom, poppy roast on the stove
Cool it, cool it, add hing, turmeric
Then grind to a powder, that's the trick
You can go the easy way and buy a ready mix
Or make it like I did, from scratch, just for kicks
Add to tamarind extract,
With jaggery and salt, for the next act

Take Toor Dal and Rice,
Turmeric, water, pressurise
Then shallot, carrot, peas, beans,
potato, tomato - small size
Heat up oil and fry
The vegetables by and by
Add water and lightly boil
Don't let it become too dry
Add the tamarind mixed with spice
Let it cook, add dal and rice,
Stir it well and check the taste,
Ensure the flavours balance nice

Temper ghee with chilli, cashew,
Hing and mustard, curry leaves few,
Add to the mix and stir it well,
Your Bisi Bele Bath is ready for you...
