Between the Constitutions which had come out in 1925 and a full revision in 1979, a series of temporary modifications were given, some of which meant simply physically pasting a new version of a text over the old one. Fr. Michael also discusses changes in the usages and the growing awareness that a whole new set of Constitutions was called for after Vatican II.
