How to Tie the Blake’s Hitch (For Climbing Trees)

Описание к видео How to Tie the Blake’s Hitch (For Climbing Trees)

In this video, we show you how to tie the Blake’s Hitch Knot. It’s usually used by arborists in a closed-loop system to climb up and down trees. Its main advantages are that it doesn’t require a Prusik’s Loop and that it can be tied using the same-diameter rope. To climb up a tree using Blake’s Hitch, throw the end of the rope over a branch. Then tie the end to the main rope with Blake’s Hitch. And finally, create an attachment point below the Blake’s Hitch to your climbing harness, using a midline clove hitch. Always remember to use a backup system as well. Full guide: https://www.theknotsmanual.com/knots/...
