In this wildlife painting tutorial, I will show you how to create POP using complimentary colors in your fine art paintings. I will take you from start to finish, step by step in this bird and floral painting tutorial . I will show you how to paint realistic birds and how to paint realistic flowers in a natural setting. I will start by blocking in the tiger lilies by painting the negative space and then block in the flowers before moving on to the Indigo bunting . Playing with orange and blue are two of my most favorite complimentary colors to paint with. This painting of the Indigo bunting with tiger lilies will be one the two paintings we will paint in the up coming 3 day wildlife painting workshop in October. Details for the painting workshop are below in the description This easy step by step speed painting ( and real time too) video is made for beginners as well as advanced painters. I am using oil paints in this video, but a lot of these same painting techniques can be applied with acrylic paints

I will take you from start to finish on your paintings from working the composition, laying in the subject in it's surroundings, blocking in, mixing and layering color to create great form and detail. I am keeping this workshop limited to the first 15 people, this helps with giving each painter the individual time they deserve. I will be painting the two demos along with you as you paint.
