It is not a definitive yes, but can it lead to? Yes. It’s not that every case it causes that, but there are certain cases that causes that. For example there is a sharp tooth in the mouth and you are not solving that problem, then a constant injury to the soft tissues like to the tongue or the oral mucosa, then the constant injury may lead to a cancer, may lead to a non-healing ulcer which can be diagnosed as a squamous cell cancer, which is cancer. There are several chronic dental conditions like the prolonged decay of the tooth and prolonged gum problem, all of them do not lead to cancer there are lot of people who have a lot of chronic conditions and they do not end up having cancer, but that does not mean that they must ignore the fact they have dental problems because it is not going to go into cancer. It may lead to other conditions which can have bad sequel. So any dental problems, any small, big, acute, chronic, must be treated at the earliest, that is the key.
