Well, I don't plan to make a habit of it, but this is the Marathon game type...basically a twenty minute period to just run about and fight for the whole duration without any score limit or other extra stuff going on.

Let me tell you, playing for a whole twenty minutes is pretty much what it says from the outset...a marathon of a game type. At the very least I don't intend to share too many of these for the simple fact that they must be split in two to fit the video upload length limit.

The combined reason for why this Marathon and why not others actually boils down to a simple answer: most of the ones I seem to play are like this...and I mean exactly like this. The stage and weapons type are the same so often that I can't even find it funny any more. I really hope that it's been a bad couple of days that don't represent the state of affairs all that well. This will serve as the poster child for both a typical Marathon and why I don't prefer to play them all too often.

So after having seen this one, you'll have seen 'em all...and if that turns out not to be the case, maybe I'll share another...but I should think it will have to be something at least a little special if I'm to consider it worth the time to do so.

Oh, and I really do like the stage and the weapon set...and I won't say that I'd NEVER want to do a Marathon, it's just that after seeing it pop up too many times I'm not sure I'm all that excited at the prospect of seeing it very often.
