MILESTONE AWARD - NOTABLES SALUTE SPYROS SKOURAS AT FILM TRIBUTE - SOUND

A gathering of screen celebrities in Hollwood is supplemented by a number of distinguished national figures for the Milestone Award Dinner of the Screen Producers Guild. A filmland annual at which the coveted award is presented to the motion picture's industry's man of the year. This year it is Spyros P. Skouras the 20th Century Fox President. Henry Cabot Lodge pays tribute. Mrs. Clare Booth Luce, says a few words, Then comes a warming tribute from the White House, in Washington, read by Presdential Secretary Maxwell M. Rabb. Walt Disney, a former recipient of the Milestone Award, makes this year's presentation. A well earned honour for an outstanding leader and great American.
