The Vice-Chancellor’s (#VC) conflict with the employees and students of #VisvaBharatiUniversity (#VBU) is escalating by the day.

Yesterday, December 13, violence unfurled on the campus as the VC was escorted out of his residence, Purbita. The clash was between the security forces and the students who were in an indefinite sit-in protest outside Purbita, demanding his resignation.

Both sides allege that they were harassed and stones were pelted. What happened, and why is the situation at VBU deteriorating so much?
