Surface Pro 8 vs Surface Pro X 2022 LOWEST SPECS

Here's a quick comparison of the Surface Pro 8 and the Surface Pro X for all of you in 2022.
The Surface Pro X was initially announced on the 2nd of October in 2019, and was released to the market of PC enthusiasts and casual consumers. As part of the Microsoft Surface brand, the Surface Pro X has adopted a new modern design with slimmer bezels and this time features an ARM based processor (reduced instruction set/RISC), which traditionally is found in mobile phones. In this specific device, the processor was made by both Microsoft and Qualcomm, with the name SQ1. The SQ1 is an enhanced version of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx, which is Qualcomm’s first ever processor designed for laptops. It subsequently was followed by the 8cx Snapdragon Gen 2 and Microsoft made an SQ2 as well in partnership with Qualcomm. I have hopes for Microsoft/Windows on ARM going forward, especially since Qualcomm recently bought/acquired NUVIA. Who is NUVIA? Nuvia was started in 2019 by three ex-Apple employees: Gerard Williams, Manu Gulati and John Bruno who had all worked previously on the A series chips made by Apple, prior to the M1 chip. You can see, that the acquisition of NUVIA brings lots of potential to Qualcomm to dominate in the chip design market for laptops, and Qualcomm estimates they will have a serious competitor to the M1 chip by the end of 2022, in the market 2023. The official acquisition started some time ago and officially completed in March 2021. It is likely that we could see a Qualcomm 8cx Snapdragon Gen 3 before NUVIA’s technology appears in Qualcomm’s designs, so expect some more commercial competition from Qualcomm and future Windows on ARM devices in 2023 which is surprisingly less than 1 year away now! I’m excited to see what happens next.
