welcome to my channel,So in this video we will discuss about the Railway Engineering in Railway bridge and it's components.

i explain you in practical.i show you all the Railway components and it's actual work and how the behavior of bridge while the Railway move on its.

In this video i will Soo you basic Railway components i.e.

1.Abutment
2.Pier
3.Pier cap
4.Deck
5.Parapet wall
6.Strut
7.Span

So these are the basic components which used in Railway bridge.

1.Abutment=Abutment are the members of bridge which is support the bridge slab or span.

2.Pier
=The vertical supporting member which is support the slab or span of the bridge.The pier are above the ground level and pier hold the pier cap where span are connected with us.

3.Pier cap
=Pier cap are members of Railway bridge which is just above the Pier which is interconnected the pier to bridge slab.

4.Deck
= The horizontal member of the bridge which resist horizontal, vertical and transverse load acting on the slab.
It is also called bridge slab.

5.Parapet wall
=The brick or concrete/steel wall which is connected with Bridge slab and balance the bridge slab which is known as parapet wall.

6.Strut
=Strut is the vertical or inclined member of steel structure which can resist horizontal, vertical and transverse load on the truss structure.


8.Span
=The horizontal surface which is over the bridge pier which can resist Railway load where the rail are laid over it.
